Halloween + update

Well, where to start? I guess I will back track to last Sat. We had our Church fall festival and it was a lot of fun. They had a great turn out and it was fun to see all the kids there. liam refused to wear his costume that night but oh well. The boys had a lot of fun and for the first time ever Lorenzo went with Riley by himself to participate in the games and activities so i think it was a big success!

Halloween was a wet and muddy affair here. it rained all day and off and on while we were out trick-or-treating. liam decided to put on his super suit but he and lorenzo only lasted about 1 block. we came back home and Jeremy took Riley out to do a little more. I was thinking about some years in RI and the kids were all bundled up and how cold it was, not out here. In between rain showers we were fighting off mosquitoes.

Other news: Jeremy found out yesterday that he will be going on the 4-5 month (it has gone down to possibly 4 months) tour. We are not to excited about this but hey, what do you do. I went to a breakfast get-together at a friends house yesterday and all of their husbands were gone and some to Iraq and had been gone over a year. It puts things into perspective and makes me grateful for what we have. I worry about Lorenzo but I have faith the Lord will get us through it.

your kids are so darn cute. I just want to "hug them and squeeze them and call them GEORGE" (note: Janus' blog "Dinner conversations) Hee!! Hee!!

Anyway-when does Jeremy start his tour? I hope that it's not too much of a strain on your family. Our thought are with you and your family.

Love ya--

I loved the call them GEORGE, I had a good laugh about it! She is so funny!

I think it is in April or May that they would be pulling out. I am not looking forward to it but from the Movie Steal Magnolias, "that which does not kill us makes us stronger" lets hope it is the latter for us! lol

I'm going to call you sometime. I have all the answers! Hee hee just kidding. But, I do know mostly what you're feeling, and your positive attitude and faith are going to be the key to the time flying by. You will sometimes feel like a mom in the trenches but on the other hand it's very empowering and character building, doing it all on your own. It's a time to rely on your strength, sometimes the strength you didn't know you had, and to rely on your faith, prayers and good friends. And...I called home at least 4 times a week! :)

Briana,
I have no doubt you will do it and come out stronger. I know it is not the same, but I look back at when Jonathan was at the School of Music, and though it was hard, the kids and I had alot of fun and I can look back and see that the Lord was blessing us the entire way. Book your plane tickets and go out to Utah for summer break. It'll give you all something to look forward to -- and it will give you a little break!
